Introducing CW Digital Employees: AI Workers for Every Industry

CW Suite TeamFeb 15, 20262 min read

What Are CW Digital Employees?

CW Digital Employees are autonomous workers that operate inside CW Suite to perform specific operational roles — continuously, autonomously, and with domain expertise that generic AI assistants simply don't have. They aren't chatbots that answer questions; they're agents that take action. A Digital Production Planner doesn't just recommend a schedule — it builds one, monitors it, and adjusts it when conditions change. A Digital Warehouse Coordinator doesn't just report on pick rates — it optimizes bin slotting, generates pick lists, and coordinates dock-door scheduling.

Purpose-Built for Four Industries

We've launched 15 CW Digital Employees at general availability, each designed for one of four commerce verticals — or for cross-industry functions that span all of them:

  • Food Production: Digital Production Planner, Digital Quality Inspector, and Digital Recipe Manager handle scheduling, compliance, and formulation management.
  • Distribution & Wholesale: Digital Warehouse Coordinator, Digital Logistics Planner, and Digital B2B Account Manager run warehouse operations, transportation, and wholesale account management.
  • Retail & E-commerce: Digital Store Manager, Digital Buyer, Digital Inventory Planner, and Digital CRM Executive manage stores, purchasing, replenishment, and customer engagement.
  • Restaurant & QSR: Digital Kitchen Manager, Digital Restaurant Ops Manager, and Digital Shift Planner cover back-of-house operations, multi-unit management, and labor scheduling.
  • Cross-Industry: Digital Finance Assistant and Digital Supply Chain Orchestrator serve every vertical with financial operations and end-to-end supply-chain coordination.

How They Work

CW Digital Employees sit on top of CW Suite's five-layer architecture. They access real-time operational data through the CW Core layer, leverage machine-learning models from the CW AI layer, and execute actions through the platform's transactional engine. Each CW Digital Employee has a defined set of actions it can perform, guardrails that prevent it from exceeding its authority, and an audit trail that records every decision it makes. You can think of them as highly specialized team members who never sleep, never forget a process step, and continuously learn from the data flowing through your operations.

Not Copilots — Workers

The industry has been saturated with "copilot" products that assist humans with tasks. CW Digital Employees go further: they own outcomes. When you assign a Digital Kitchen Manager to a restaurant location, it takes responsibility for prep-list accuracy, food-cost tracking, and waste reduction. It escalates to human managers when judgment calls are needed, but it handles the operational mechanics independently. This isn't about making humans faster at spreadsheets; it's about removing the spreadsheets entirely.

Getting Started

CW Digital Employees are available today for all CW Suite customers on the Professional and Enterprise plans. Each CW Digital Employee can be activated, configured, and monitored from the CW Suite dashboard. Request a demo to see them in action.
